White House Continues To Field Questions About Border Crisis
(Washington, DC) -- White House spokesman Josh Earnest continues to field questions about the southwest border crisis. In his briefing yesterday, Earnest again urged Congress to act on President Obama's request for nearly four-billion dollars to boost border operations. Tens of thousands of Central American migrants have poured over the U.S. border in recent months. Many are unaccompanied minors. Earnest said the Obama administration is committed to detaining and processing the migrants in a humane way while also adhering to the rule of law.
