US Airways Jet Aborts Takeoff At Philadelphia Airport

(Philadelphia, PA) -- There are no reports of serious injuries after a US Airways jet had its nose gear collapse during takeoff at Philadelphia International Airport Thursday evening.
That's Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers. An airline spokesman says the plane blew a tire as it was about to take off. Flight 1702 was headed to Fort Lauderdale when the landing gear collapsed. There were about 150 people on board the Airbus 320.
