Skier Rescued After Falling One-Thousand Feet
(Telluride, CO) -- A skier is being treated at a Grand Junction hospital after a horrific fall yesterday near Telluride. The "Denver Post" reports the man was on Wilson Peak when he fell around one-thousand feet just before noon. The San Miguel Sheriff Bill Masters says the victim suffered severe injuries. He was taken to Telluride Regional Airport and then choppered to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction.
