(Pueblo, CO) -- Pueblo Police are stressing safety during the Colorado State Fair. The event officially got underway late last week. Police say vehicle thefts and break-ins increased dramatically during last year's fair. Fair officials say people need to be careful and double check their vehicles before heading into the fairgrounds. People are also reminded to make sure they don't have things in their cars that people may want to take. The fair runs through September 1st.
