(Colorado Springs, CO) -- The Air Force is proposing to cut 275 Air Force Space Command jobs in Colorado Springs. That includes military and civilian job reductions effective October 1st and is fewer than ten-percent of the staff at the Peterson Air Force Base headquarters of the Space Command. U.S. Senator Mark Udall said in a statement he would "carefully study the Air Force's proposal." Udall said he would "ensure that any cuts at Peterson Air Force Base do not compromise our national security or the missions that keep us ahead of the strategic curve."
