(Colorado Springs, CO) -- Last night's debate is setting the stage for next week's primary between Republican Congressman Doug Lamborn and retired Air Force Major General Bentley Rayburn. Rayburn came out firing, saying he's running because there is a lack of leadership in Washington, DC as well as a lack of character. Lamborn spent time defending his track record, saying he's been "in the battle of ideas" while serving in Congress, but Rayburn hasn't done anything on issues such as the Second Amendment and abortion since he left the military. The winner will face retired Air Force Major General Irv Halter in November.
