(Colorado Springs, CO) -- Governor John Hickenlooper wants to keep the military presence strong in Colorado. He signed a bill yesterday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park that will commission a study to analyze the economic impact from the installations. It would be used to defend against potential base closures from deep defense cuts in the coming years. Colorado Springs lawmaker Dan Nordberg says the bill lays the groundwork to keep the state engaged in decisions regarding potential closures.
