(Colorado Springs, CO) -- About half of the workers normally assigned to the Martin Drake Power Plant are expected back at the facility today. It comes just over a week after a fire that knocked the plant offline indefinitely. The workers will be assisting in the recovery process. The remaining employees have been sent to other locations. Colorado Springs Utilities CEO Jerry Forte and other leaders gave an update to the city council yesterday. They say engineers have been hired to determine structural damage at the plant, but the cost of the recovery efforts haven't yet been determined.
