(Undated) -- Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is taking some heat over comments made about Southern Colorado. In a "Rolling Stone" article leaked online this week, he made reference to gun laws passed last year in the state. He said, "the NRA went after two or three state senators in a part of Colorado where I don't think there's roads." Bloomberg was making reference to the recall of lawmakers in Pueblo and Colorado Springs over their support of the gun measures. State senator Bernie Herpin fired back, telling "Politico" he's not surprised Bloomberg is so out of touch with Colorado. The former mayor of the Big Apple reportedly talked to Governor Hickenlooper before he signed the gun measures into law.
