Fence Going Up To Prevent GWB Suicides

Fence Going Up To Prevent GWB Suicides
(New York, NY) -- There have been 13 suicides on the George Washington Bridge so far this year and 40 rescues. Last year there were 16 deaths total, promoting the New York Port Authority to take action. A nine-foot fence is being put up to replace a railing to make it more difficult to jump from the bridge. The "Bergen Record" reports the project will cost about 40-million dollars, but it won't be finished for another eight years.
