Group Wants More State Money For Tourism

(Colorado Springs, CO) -- The City for Champions group wants more money from the state for tourism projects in Colorado Springs. The latest budget revision requests 120-million dollars, up 40-million from the previous plan. Newly included projects include a three-thousand-seat indoor sports facility and a new Air Force Academy visitors center. The overall budget is aimed at bringing even more visitors to the city. A decision is expected next month.
