Council President To Propose Airport Tax Breaks
(Colorado Springs, CO) -- Colorado Springs City Council president Keith King is looking to bring more jobs to the city. The "Colorado Springs Gazette" reports he will propose tax breaks on Monday for businesses in the area around the airport. King tells the paper there's an aviation company with more than three dozen high-paying jobs ready to move to the city. His proposal to the full council would create a special zone around the airport, which would make aircraft-related businesses exempt from some city taxes.
