Coloradans Due Refunds From Health Insurance Companies
(Undated) -- Some people in Colorado are due refunds on part of their health insurance premiums. Health and Human Services anounced yesterday that nine insurance companies will have to shell out nearly three-million-dollars to over 52-thousand customers statewide. It's because those companies did not spend enough money on patient care last year. Under the Affordable Care Act, they have to spend at least 80-percent of premium dollars on patient care and quality improvement activities. Aetna is the hardest hit, with over one-million-dollars in refunds due.
