(Haswell, CO) -- Two people are facing charges after a weekend pot bust in Kiowa County. Authorities say they uncovered an illegal grow operation with well over one-thousand plants on the property. The two people who were arrested are not believed to be state residents. Sheriff Forrest Frazee says it was a sophisticated operation, with plants as tall as three feet in height. The bust was assisted by state and federal officers. While marijuana is legal in Colorado, it's still governed by rules for growing the plants for retail and personal use.
