(Denver, CO) -- Gold donated from a Teller County mine will soon be on display at the state Capitol Building in Denver. The iconic dome has been completely redone in gold leaf from Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mining. Crews started lowering a protective covering from the restoration project yesterday. It's part of a 17-million-dollar undertaking which won't be complete until next year. Crews will now begin the restoration process on the observation deck. It will take weeks before the scaffolding will be fully removed from the dome area.
