(Colorado Springs, CO) -- The Board of El Paso County Commissioners will be taking up the issue of stormwater at its meeting tomorrow. Members will consider the landmark intergovernmental agreement on a regional solution to the issue. They will also look at possible ballot language that would set the stage for voters to decide on the creation of the Pikes Peak Regional Drainage Authority. If approved in November, the authority would collect fees which would go toward stormwater projects in the region. The Colorado Springs City Council gave its seal of approval to the intergovernmental agreement last week. The authority would be governed by elected officials representing El Paso County, the City of Colorado Springs, Fountain, Manitou and Green Mountain Falls.
