(Denver, CO) -- A bill which would allow joint tax filing by same-sex couples is now in the hands of Governor Hickenlooper. It was passed yesterday in the state House after working its way through the Senate. It affects couples who were married in another state where the practice is legal. Backers say it brings state regulations in line with federal rules. Those against the measure say it undermines the state laws regarding same-sex marriage.
