Accused Black Forest Killer Ruled Competent For Trial
(Black Forest, CO) -- An El Paso County man accused of killing his wife and another woman in Black Forest last year is competent to stand trial. The judge in the Kenneth Lankford case made the ruling yesterday. He's charged with two counts of first-degree murder and other charges. Prosecutors say Lankford shot his wife Terry Lankford and Carol Fowler in November. He is also accused of wounding Fowler's husband. A preliminary hearing is set for May 12th.
