(Colorado Springs, CO) -- Calls to animal enforcement in the Colorado Springs area almost doubled during the recent cold snap. Joe Stafford with El Paso County says most of the calls were unfounded but he still encourages people to report what they see. Officials are also reiterating that they're more concerned about lethargic or unresponsive animals out in the elements. Most of the calls made to Animal Law Enforcement were just for anxious pets wanting to get out of the cold.
