(Colorado Springs, CO) -- A Colorado Springs City Council legislative analyst fired by the city this month could be looking at a payout. The "Colorado Springs Gazette" reports the council was supposed to talk about the firing of George Culpepper yesterday, but that meeting was postponed until 11 a.m. today. Yesterday's meeting was put off after Culpepper was pulled aside by a deputy city attorney and the director of human resources. The paper speculates he could be signing a confidentiality agreement in exchange for a severance package. Culpepper was abruptly fired last week by Mayor Bach after just days on the job.
